Smooth and Sweet killer alert!!!

Do you know Diabetes????
Yeah you think you do but you dont.
Diabetes is divided into two.
Diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus.
They really got nice and unique names you may say, but that's the smooth killers for you.
Diabetes mellitus is a type of diabetes that deals with metabolism that is the breakdown of our body cells and organisms.
Now, diabtetes mellitus is that which deals with breakdown of our food energy and nutrients, that is why commonly we regard it as sugar/sweetened food caused.
Diabetes mellitus is divided into three; Type 1, Type 11 and gestational diabetes.

Type 1 is also called insulin-dependent diabetes. It used to be called juvenile-onset diabetes, because it often begins in childhood.

Type 11 is the most common form of diabetes, accounting for 95% of diabetes cases in adults.

Diabetes that's triggered by pregnancy is called gestational diabetes (pregnancy, to some degree, leads to insulin resistance). It is often diagnosed in middle or late pregnancy. Because high blood sugar levels in a mother are circulated through the placenta to the baby, gestational diabetes must be controlled to protect the baby's growth and development.
The preferred method of diagnosing diabetes is the fasting plasma glucose test (FPG). The FPG measures your blood glucose level after you have fasted (not eaten anything) for 10 to 12 hours.
Normal fasting blood glucose is between 70 and 100 mg/dl for people who do not have diabetes. The standard diagnoses of diabetes is made when:
  • A patient has a fasting blood glucose level of 126 mg/dl or higher on two separate occasions; or
  • A patient has a random blood glucose level of 200 mg/dl or greater and has common symptoms of diabetes, such as:

Treatment during pregnancy includes working closely with your health care team and:
  • Careful meal planning to ensure adequate pregnancy nutrients without excess fat and calories
  • Daily exercise
  • Controlling pregnancy weight gain
  • Taking diabetes insulin to control blood sugar levels if needed

Other Forms of Diabetes

A few rare kinds of diabetes can result from specific conditions. For example, diseases of the pancreas, certain surgeries and medications, or infections can cause diabetes. These types of diabetes account for only 1% to 5% of all cases of diabetes.

SILENT KILLER ALERT!!!

People often say BP,BP,BP as if its a song not knowing what it really is.
BP simply means blood pressure.
Simply the pressure that the circulating blood in the blood vessels uses to flow around the body.
Now everything that deviates from normal causes problem.
The normal blood pressure has a range.
From 140/90---90/60mmhg is normal.
The SI unit is mmhg meaning millimeter mercury.
So anything below 90/60 is low BP and anything above 140/90 is high BP.
It is measured using sphygmomanometer, it can be manual or automatic.
I will tell us more about this BP in my next blog post.
See you soon.
Its time for us to go scientific and informed.

UNEASY LIES THE HEAD THAT WEARS THE CROWN

Trump says he's sleeping 4-5 hours a night, he typically works until midnight or 1 a.m. He wakes up at 5 a.m. to eat, read newspapers and check out television.

Trump says that at the start of his presidency he's been surprised by "the size, the magnitude of everything." He says being president can be a "surreal experience in a certain way."
But he adds, "you have to get over it because there's so much work to be done."

MMM what's Good?

You know this ponzi scheme infiltrated Nigeria like cancer metastasis.
Lots of people were clueless about how it works, some people are ready to fight you and tell you that your salvation is far, more like preaching it like gospel.
Funny memes were circulating, people turned musicians, showing off skills,
Lol, I can't laugh please. ..
People turned billionaires, millionaires and some lost badly.
But if for example the only way out is to reserve the whole process by people paying back to who paid them?
That's still the process running, but I don't see it happening though.
Watch out for other deadly ones coming out.

Culture Shock

Culture is a way of life in a given population.
People do things differently and reason differently too.
Culture shock happens when you migrate to a new location and see the way people do things which will surprise you.
I have been able to travel up to 8 different states in Nigeria and still hoping to do more, as ajela that i am nah..
I will talk based on my experience and encounter...
So i have seen lots of behaviour but the striking one is the sharp difference in east and south east.
In the east, people are friendly to an extent and hustle truly, but in south east there is a sharp uninviting look with aggressive voice, maybe they don't know that is happening but you cant fail not to notice that.
Another aspect is language, i admire other language, but am not a fast language learner so i don't even bother anymore, but the generally acceptable but rugged one (pidgin English) i try to blend but you will still notice am not from there, but at least no harm in trying.
But in all i am amazed as i try to get hold of which environment am in and try to blend,,, you cant go to onitsha market and expect to get things cheap and be speaking english or pidgin, they will automatically inflate price. You just have to blend immediately.
Be proud of where you come from, respect peoples unique ways of life, don't expect people to be the same, winks,,, variety is the spice of life.

CAREER

career is an individual's journey through learning, work and other aspects of life.
For one to make this choice, there is need for proper scrutiny by the individual and guardian.
There are widespread number of discipline to choose from, but lets sample 20 students aged 7-15 in Nigeria, If asked what they will like to be in future 14 will say "i want to be a doctor" while the remaining 6 will opt for other profession like law, pharmacy, engineering, nursing, accounting, pastor in this order.
My question is what happens to the other professions? who will cover other loopholes?
Its high time parents see the truth and hug it and show it to their children.
Its only in Nigeria that when a child by chance or luck becomes successful, parents will know Yes that's my child, but when that child is still struggling and sneaking to find the green pasture with your negativity behind, it wont be remembered.
So in this post i want to emphasize on the importance of versed different profession and packaging.
When a welder, road side mechanic, vulcanizer or an electrician goes to school he is known as electrical/electronic engineer, mechanical engineer, civil engineer etc.
When a street tailor/seamstress or shoemaker goes to school they are known as designers.
When a hairdresser goes to school she/he is known as beautician, makeup artist even cosmetologist.
The footballers,GnD, Versace etc do you know their stories, but right now they are multi-millionaires and sort after from all over the world.
What am i driving at PACKAGING.
All the profession some of the parents love their children to do is out of selfish interest....if only you support and put the child through their chosen field of interest to attain their professional desire and goal with happiness in what they do. That is why poor service is found in lots of offices because their is no job satisfaction, people tend to do a laissez faire kind of work, you go to some hospitals you get frustrated and irritated, same goes to bank even down to normal cafe like as if there is switch of roles, people are not where they want to be.
African parents have stereotyped their idea, now if everyone become a doctor who will be the patient, who will teach, who will handle other areas of life.
The funny part of this whole thing is that these favorite professions of our parents are becoming saturated with both quacks and original.
Life is more than what we think atimes, we have our resources to dig, we have our ecosystem to study and preserve, we have our territories to protect.
Its all about diversity.
Support to child's dream.
Choose wisely.
